Amistead Maupin’s new novel novel Michael Tolliver Lives is supposedly not a new Tales of The City but thankfully it is just that. No matter how much Amistead may deny it he has written the seventh novel in his beloved series.

Today I went out to see Sunshine. Like all the reviews are saying this film came close to being great. The problem arises in the third act when a horror film element is introduced that does nothing to move the story, and only distracts from the more interesting main plot. [...]
